In May of 2008, the Livable Design Demonstration Home received the NAHB 50+ Housing Award for Best Detached Home in an Active Adult Community (up to 2500 square feet).

In January 2010, the Livable Design Demonstration Home was honored with the Livable Communities Award, a joint award through AARP and the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB). The Livable Communities award recognizes innovative home and community designs that enhance the daily comfort, ease and safety of home owners.
